Beth Szuhay, Senior Conservator

 

Chrysalis Art Conservation’s Principal Conservator, Beth Szuhay, was with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco as a Textile Conservator from 2001-2011. She holds an MS from the Winterthur/Universtiy of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, and a BA in International Studies from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  Beth has worked on a diverse range of textiles, from large silk political banners to girlhood embroidery to historic dresses to archaeological fragments. She enjoys working with Registrars, Curators, and Preparators in institutions, individuals with family heirlooms and private collectors, as well as collaborating with conservation colleagues, to find creative solutions to conservation problems.
